About Me

Dr. Jeremy Gwee’s career spans over thirty-eight years in international banking, management consulting, and IT services with leading global companies, including Maybank, Deutsche Bank, Ernst & Young, Headstrong, IBM, and HSBC. He has held senior leadership roles at country, regional, and global levels, covering banking treasury, risk management, audit, compliance, balance sheet and capital management, finance, operations, technology, bank reconstruction, subsidization, recovery and resolution, IT start-ups, and joint ventures. Prior to his semi-retirement, Jeremy served as the Country Chief Operating Officer for HSBC Singapore.

Over the past four years, Jeremy has dedicated himself to mentoring, coaching, and talent development. He has worked as a business trainer and business coach with the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning (UK), a career coach with the Institute of Banking and Finance, and an advisor to the Association of Banks in Singapore. His experience extends to talent assessment and professional development, having mentored aspiring leaders and guided professionals in career transitions. As an adjunct lecturer at multiple universities, he continues to shape the next generation of industry professionals.

He is a Fellow at the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning (UK), an Associate Adult Educator with the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL), and a visiting lecturer and Honorary Fellow at the Edward Cadbury Centre for the Public Understanding of Religion, University of Birmingham, UK.

Jeremy graduated from the University of Singapore in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts, earned an MBA from Henley Management College, and is a certified accountant. He also holds a doctorate in transformational leadership. Additionally, he is trained in positive psychology, evidence-based coaching, and personal development techniques, further enhancing his ability to mentor and assess talent effectively.
